Toyin Afolayan was introduced to acting by her cousin, Adeyemi Afolayan, also known as Ade Love, a famous actor, producer, and director..She attended St. Anne’s Primary School and St. Joseph’s Secondary School in Ilorin, Kwara State, and later obtained a diploma in Catering and Hotel Management from Kwara State Polytechnic.
Career
Afolayan’s breakthrough role came in 1995 when she starred as Madam Adisa in the film “Deadly Affair”. She has since appeared in numerous Yoruba movies, including “Irapada,” “Anikulapo,” “Ojuloge Obirin,” and “Arojinle”. Afolayan is known for her strong, wise, and authoritative characters, often playing the role of a mother, aunt, or elder sister.
