Muyiwa Ademola, a veteran Nigerian actor, filmmaker, and director, marks a significant milestone today, January 26, as he celebrates his birthday.



Born on January 26, 1971, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria, Muyiwa Ademola has established himself as a prominent figure in the Nigerian entertainment industry.



With a career spanning over three decades, he has garnered numerous accolades and nominations for his outstanding contributions to Nollywood.

Muyiwa Ademola’s educational background includes attending St. David’s High School in Ibadan, where he obtained his West Africa Secondary School Certificate.



He furthered his education at the University of Ibadan, graduating with a Bachelor of Education degree in adult education.



His entry into the Nigerian film industry was facilitated by Charles Olumo, also known as Agbako. Muyiwa Ademola’s acting career officially took off in 1991.



Four years later, he produced his debut film, “Asise” (Blunder), sponsored by Dibel.

Throughout his illustrious career, Muyiwa Ademola has been involved in various film projects, showcasing his versatility as an actor, producer, and director. Some notable films include:

Muyiwa Ademola’s personal life is marked by his marriage to Omolara Ademola, with whom he has three children.

In 2005, Muyiwa Ademola’s film “Ori” (Fate) won the best indigenous film at the 1st Africa Movie Academy Awards.

He was also nominated for the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards for Most Outstanding Indigenous Actor in 2008.
