A recent courtroom confrontation between Joseph Aloba, the father of Nigerian musician Mohbad, and his estranged wife Abosede is depicted in a video that has gone viral online and sparked a lot of discussion.
Fans and the late singer Mohbad’s family came to the court today, September 11, for a coroner’s inquest, eager to learn the cause of the artist’s untimely death.
The purpose of the investigation is to look into the strange circumstances surrounding Mohbad’s untimely death. The moment Joseph openly disregarded Abosede outside the courthouse was caught on camera. Joseph did not even look at Mohbad’s mother when she was spotted bending down to greet him.
It is no longer news that Mohbad was pronounced dead in Lagos on September 12 under controversial circumstances. The singer, who was formerly signed to Marlian Music, a record label owned by singer Naira Marley, was buried in his hometown in Ikorodu less than 24 hours after his death. He was then exhumed for post-mortem examination.
Following his death, efforts dedicated to unravelling the mystery behind his death proved futile, resulting to dispute in Mohbad’s family.
It can be recalled that his mum made sure to stand by Wunmi, Mohbad’s wife, and support her despite all the negativity surrounding her from the late singer’s father and other Nigerians.
Then, she made a U-turn as she called out Wunmi and laid heavy curses on her. Their formalities ended when Abosede accused Wunmi of being in possession of the singer’s properties.
In a recent turn of events, it seemed that Abosede was attempting to get back in Mohbad’s dad’s good graces, but he was not receptive and chose to ignore her.
