A recent video showing a banner of popular influencer, Verydarkman, announcing his bid for the 2027 presidential election has sent shockwaves across social media platforms.
In the video making the rounds online, the placard was spotted on the street with Verydarkman’s picture was placed boldly on it. The inscription on the board reads, “Nomination for 2027 presidential candidate, Martins Vincent Otse AKA Verydarkman (VDM)”.
The banner also featured images of the current president, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside other presidential candidates, including Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar. What caught the attention of many was that Peter Obi’s photo, who has long been a favorite among Nigerians, was marked with a red cross.
Verydarkman has made a name for himself on social media through his outspoken views on societal issues, humorous takes on daily life, and activism. His sharp commentary on Nigerian politics and governance has earned him a massive following, especially among the youth.
The banner of him running for the 2027 presidential election came after Verydarkman raised allegations against Nigerian crossdresser Bobrisky, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission and the Nigerian Correctional Service.
